The Sun Forgets To Shine

The night slithers away,
Stealing dream of glowing moonshine,
Of fireflies and butterflies,
Of heaven and paradise…

Misty morning is cold and gray,
The sky litters with shades of dismay,
Love is slippery when it is wet,
It even disappears when it dries…

This moment as time fizzles and chimes,
The sun forgets to shine,
It forgets to glow and give warmth,
It even forgets to cast a rainbow,
It just forgets,
How to bring life,
To a dead world of memories,
Stuck at the end of the bridge,
That leads to nowhere…
