Free Is As Free Does

Great! Now we are all scratching our not so-itchy-heads for plunging ourselves into a quagmire of social unrest. We have too many accounts on the World Wide Web - for emails and social sites alike. Each has a specialty and/or familiarity that others do not.

We have Google Mail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, MySpace, YouTube, Twitter, Blogspot, Facebook, WordPress, etc. We are supposed to rejoice; but alas, we are spending too much time trying to sort out which is which. What mail to use as the primary address? What blogging service is to render our latest blabbering? What social site is to visit to keep in touch and get connected? Plenty is good, but plenty is also plentifully unmanageable.

Of course we have choices; we could try all and later pick and opt. We would scour each services and would try to adapt to different modes and styles. What good is there to sign up and then abandon the account without penning a single post?

Perhaps we don't like the interface. Perhaps we are not comfortable with some rules and regulations. Perhaps we don't even like the assigned address. Perhaps we do not even have an inkling of what to do with the account at all.

The internet is getting overloaded with traffic; with each enterprise trying to divert the scouring surfers its way. Good; but not so good.

But then again; free is as free does.

Time In Warp-Speed

I didn't post anything in 2009. 2010 is already here; and it's already February. Time sure flies away - damn bloody fast like a warp-speed spaceship.

I was busy mapping out a new office for ToonzSparX Studio. Now that it's done, I have some ample time for some social updates.

I've written a script for a movie while updating some of my personal sites, this blog and some social networking domains.

I'm on Twitter and FB now. But, I'll be blogging when I find the time; hoping that time does not warp away to somewhere-land real fast.

Fast is good; but not too fast. We need to sometimes slowdown; to have a look back at our memories.

Memories are what we were; and they will equip us with some intuitions into our future.

Magic Hour

It's a Sunday. My kid boy Arkasya is at one of my staff's home, engaging in PS2 games. My daughters are all at home, doing schoolwork! Schoolwork on Sundays?!!! Where have all the kids' time gone to? Warped into space?

Kids gotta be kids sometime. They've gotta play games, run, kick a ball or something, play the guitar, cook, whatever....

My wife is infront of our Satellite TV, watching some horror movies. And I'm at my office, updating my site/blog. I'm too busy on almost all weekdays, so some sundays are the only free time I've gotta be doing some extra stuff, like this blogging thing...

But not every sunday. There are relatives to visit and say hello to, supermarkets to spend money at, friends to have a simple 'teh-tarik' and watch soccer with, flea markets to browse at, or shimmering sunsets to ogle at.

But, Kuala Lumpur is in a valley. The supposedly beautiful sunsets are practically obscured by some tall buildings soaring into the golden cloudy and muddy sky.

Need to get out to some remote places where the sunsets are really out of this world. I'll try to capture some of those godly beautiful moments and post it here later. Don't know when, but I'll do it.

Gotta go now. Wouldn't wanna miss the 'magic hour', even in hazy Kuala Lumpur.

And then, what?

New year again. Another number gone by. And then, what? No matter, just a number anyway. Numbers rule. You've got ID number, cellular number, P.O.Box number, postcode number. Numbers, numbers and numbers everywhere...

Yesterday is dead and gone. But I remember yesterdays and yesterweeks and yesteryears. Those were the liberal days when I used to roam around freely, anywhere at anytime of the day without a slightest fear of being subjected to any heinous crime. It was like a KOOL dream. Beautiful days, gorgeous nights, nice friends, nice people, nice places to hang out; nice everything. Lovely and KOOL!!!

But today, these days; people have changed. Dreams have changed. Priorities have changed. Everything has changed. But I intend to remain unchanged; KOOL and gratified. Haunting love, no hate, no mind-numbing politically correct streams of thoughts, no razzle-dazzle of rat race, no something nasty eat something nasty kind of world, no nothing that bothers my heart and soul.

Umm... gotta get off for a while. Mebbe more than a while. Need to render and then edit some scenes for my latest animation. I'm into episode 8 of my 13 episodes animation TV series entitled Sheng-Reela. I'll be blabbering about it sometime later.

Need to put some audio fxs as well. And some music too. Ouch! Only 24 hours, and so many things to do in a day. Wish that I have another 12 hours in a day. Or mebbe more. Wish that there are two moons hanging in the sky; one snow white, the other bluish white. And greenish blue sky across the horizon.

Do you dream? I dream with my eyes wide open.
